Apart from the ministerial opportunities we have in our parish, one might also enter more deeply into the life of the parish by joining any of the following organizations and societies.
Knights of Columbus, is a fraternal, charitable organization founded in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney. Our Heart of the Island Council ascribes to their foundational principles of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism with a spirit of family. They strive to help our parish in any way possible. New members are always welcome and actively recruited by our council family.

The Blood Drive Team organizes two St. Margaret of Scotland church blood drives a year, run by LI Blood Services. Blood donors consistently donate approximately 120 pints during each drive. Volunteers staff the sign-up tables after Masses, as well as welcoming donors and staffing the drive canteen on the drive day.

The Wednesday Bible Sharing Group meets each Wednesday at 10am in the parish center to reflect on the readings of the coming Sunday Liturgy.
